We're having a blog hop on August 1st, 3rd (today), and 5th. If you're hopping along you should be coming from Lenet's blog.
The theme of the hop is Inspiration, and we're each picking something that is inspiring to us. I found this inspiration picture on Pinterest a little while ago.
With fall around the corner, I thought it would be fun to make a similar image on a card:
I started out by altering THIS Silhouette leaf image. I added lines to look like the inspiration image and then die cut the leaf on watercolor paper using my Cameo. I die cut a second solid leaf image to use as a backing.
I got out my trusty spray mists and added a few drops of mist color to the pieces. It was like a jigsaw puzzle (and a lot of fun). Once all of the pieces were adhered, I sprayed the entire leaf with a Pearl spray mist. Here's a close-up:
I folded a die-cut banner to pop it up and stamped the sentiment from Kelly Purkey's Thankful set. Since I'm addicted to metallics lately, I used gold thread for the border.
Thanks for stopping by my part of the CASE Study blog hop. You'll want to hop around to the others since there will be some prizes. Be sure to comment along the way for a chance to win. ;) Next up is the sweet and talented Chupa.
Have a great weekend!
