Hi everyone! Today I'm guest blogging over at Market Street Stamps. Yeah!
When Jorge at MSS contacted me about guesting, I knew I wanted to use the Foodie
Doodles set. It has to be one of the most adorable stamp sets ever. I
made two cards to show different approaches to this set.
First up is
a love card:
Aren’t those
images too cute? I stamped the doughnuts repeatedly and then colored them with
some Copic markers. The stamps are
such nice quality, I managed to stamp all of the images clearly on the first
try—believe me...that's a big accomplishment. ;)
Below is a close-up of the yellow doughnut and mug. The hearts and sentiment are from the same set.
I love how you could either use the images in the set together or alone. In my second card, I used one of the images alone.
When I saw the cute peanut in the Foodie Doodles set, I knew I wanted to make a baby/pregnancy card:
I
started the card by stamping the Mesh Background in a light
tan. This background stamp is my favorite—I like to use it on leaves for some added texture.
A couple of weeks ago I bought some Inktense colored pencils (Hobby Lobby coupon=score!). I used the pencils and added some water to blend the image. The pencils are fabulous! I only wish I had bought a larger set. ;)
Here’s a close-up of the collage:
I stamped the same hearts on the first card to the right of the ticket.
Thank
you to stopping by! Be sure to stop by the Market Street blog and see my post. :) Have a great day!

ReplyDeleteOh, dear me, these are absolutely ADORABLE!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, Jocelyn! These two cards are an overload of adorable. The multiple doughnuts are so much fun, and I'm glad the pink ones are so happy for the yellow one. (I'm sure on the first card, I would have messed up stamping the eleventh doughnut... and it wouldn't have been the stamp's fault. :D) Perfect colouring on your li'l peanut, and great grouping of design elements!
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute Jocelyn! Love the cute coffee and doughnut holding hands, and the layout of the second card, with the fat-bellied peanut, is awesome!
ReplyDeleteThese are adorable! Love the army of donuts on the first one, and that second one is my favorite, such a sweet and fun version of a baby card!
ReplyDeleteOh, the little peanut is SO PERFECT FOR A BABY CARD I can't STAND it! Love it! And how cute are those donuts? Mmmm, donuts....pink donuts...why am I suddenly hungry?
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your GDT :)

ReplyDeleteThese are so freakin' cute! I love all the stamping on the first one and the mish mash of products on the second. Super fun cards!
ReplyDeleteYummy! Yummy! Love your adorable cards!
ReplyDeleteThese rock! Those doughnuts are adorable although I'm with Lindsey - I'd have screwed up on the 11th doughnut! LOL! And the peanut is a brilliant idea for a baby card. Love it!
