Newton's Nook Anniversary Blog Hop

Hi everyone! I'm excited about a special blog hop today!

I made two cards using the new releases. First up, I used the Newton's Daydream set:

Ahhh....Newton is hanging out in Hawaii. I think he likes the beach and the sun. I stamped Newton and the butterflies, and I watercolored the scene with Distress Markers. The sentiment is also from the Newton's Daydream set.

I added some hand-cut patterned papers from Studio Calico. Here's  close-up:

For my second card, I used the Beach Party set:

Life's a Beach

Winston looks ready for the beach! I stamped and watercolored him, and popped him up on a tag. The sentiment is also from Beach Party. For the background, I repeatedly stamped the flower from the set...it's not perfect, but I think it works for the beach. ;)

    incredible cards!! i LOOOOOOOOVE all of the hand cut papers you added and the bit of doily with that red twine - just amazing!!!!!!
