Thinking About the New Year

Hi everyone! I've been in Washington, D.C. for the past few days. I got to meet some crafty friends (JJ Miriam, and Tessa) in Virginia--very cool! I talk to these ladies online pretty much daily, but we had never met in person. Before I asked, my husband asked me if it was safe? I had a good laugh at that. It's funny how we get to know crafty people online so well. :)

Anyhoo, I'm up on the Newton's Nook Designs' blog today. We just finished Halloween, but apparently I'm in holiday mode:

I stamped the background using Newton's Nook Design's Holiday Wishes set in gold. I love the swirly sentiments in this set! For the sentiment, I pieced together four different stamps from the same set to make the sentiment. I frequently cut up my clear sentiments to make them easier to stamp custom sentiments.

For the die-cut snowflake, I used glitter cardstock. It's quite bright. ;) Here's a close-up:

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Supplies
Cardstock: (Aquamarine, White, Raspberry) Avery Elle; (pink glitterstock) DCWV
Clear stamps: (sentiment, "merry" from the Holiday Wishes set) Newton's Nook Designs
Ink: (Tuxedo Black, Delicata Golden Glitz) Tsukineko

  7. You are so brave to cut up your sentiments ... I always want to do that but am so scared they won't line up just right afterwards. I just need to do it, right? Love your new sentiment, and how your background looks here!!

And before I got to meet Virginia, Ardyth, Laura and Cristina last month, I told a few friends about how excited I was to meet my online friends. They ALL had the same are-we-ever-going-to-see-you-again look on their faces. I guess I understand, meeting on-line people just has such a scary sound to it these days, right?!?

Anyway, so jealous you got to meet those guys!
