I thought I'd share the first card I made. I liked this card...much softer look...but I decided it wasn't quite right for Maddy:
Isn't that little birdie cute? He's from PTI's Little Bitty Bird die. Again, I stamped the background with Mint Motif's Beyond Borders. For the window, I attached a textured cardstock circle in the background color--it looks like woodgrain to me. After assembling everything, I tied a pink silk bow...I can't help it, but I keep touching the soft ribbon (hope I don't get it grimy!).
Thanks so much for looking!

Jocelyn,
ReplyDeleteThese are "pinkilicious"! LOL!
Brandi
These cards are great, I love the bold bright look of the first one especially!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I was totally going to say these are pinkilicious but Brandi beat me to it! LOL! They are both fabulous. Love the shadow effect on the sentiment of the first card and the felt icing - I never remember to pull out my felt! And the Bitty Bird is one of my favourite stamp/dies - love his "beady" little eye! :)
ReplyDeleteThe PINK is really pretty... Both cards are pretty... 1st ones really POPS... nice one Jocelyn... TFS hugs...xoxo
ReplyDeleteMaddy is a girl after my own heart! You did FAB on both cards! You rocked this challenge girl!!! I could not pick a fav if I had too.
ReplyDeleteJocelyn, I love the boldness of the top card and the sweetness of the second! I love that you incorporated felt and beads into both. I need to get out my beads and so something with them. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteIt's probably one of the 'pinkest' posts I've ever seen!! Any 6 year old girl is going to spin over either of these fabulous HOT Pink cards! I'm super impressed with those straight stamped lines... I would've been very stressed trying to acheive that...
ReplyDeleteUsing one color is extremely difficult but you pulled it off nicely. If Maddy likes pink, she'll love the card.
