I love that little elephant from My Cute Stamps. I made the toothpick flags and used a sentiment from the same set. The hat is from Hero Arts/Basic Grey. I went round and round which paper to use but ended up coloring it with different Copics. I made the Twinery twine pom-pom to balance out the little clown nose pom-pom (hee hee!). Here's a close-up:
I made a cart for him to ride on. I didn't have any red and white paper with the right scale, so I cut out the strips. To finish the cart, I used buttons from my stash and braided the twine. My braiding is terrible...I'm really out of practice! Here's a close-up of the cart:
Speaking of my little guy, I took him into the doctor today, and they ended up testing for food allergies. They drew blood and didn't get enough the first time, so they had to take a second vile. Poor little guy!
Thanks for looking! Have a great day.
cute elephant card. Love those flags and pompom. Sorry to hear about your little guy. One of my kids has multiple food allergy and I know exactly about those blood draws and skin pricks, etc. Hope the test will come out negative.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, another awesome card! The elephant's nose is the absolute perfect touch!
ReplyDeleteAwww, this is so cute! My little boy loves elephants, too :)
ReplyDeletePoor little lad.... had my little guy tested {he seems to be allergic to tomatoes, ketchup, etc.} but still waiting on results!
ReplyDeleteLove your card! Super fun!

Jocelyn, this is brilliant! So many awesome details! Love the pom pom and the clown nose (hilarious!) and the stripes and yellow wheels. It's genius! If this doesn't break the low streak with the challenges then there's something seriously wrong with PC!
ReplyDeleteA very cute card Jocleyn. That pom pom is a clever addition and I am loving those flags! I'll have to try that idea I think! So colourful and happy!
ReplyDeleteLove the title of this post, Jocelyn! It made me giggle. Really cute card - love the button element and just the overall design is bright and cheery! I'm finally back from my trip so I will be returning to blog land! Yay!
ReplyDeleteSee, and when I saw "bmffff" I started to figure out what it could be an acronym for....way to overthink it, Jessi. Duh. lol
ReplyDeleteMy son STILL loves making elephant noises - and don't forget to wave your arm in front of your face as a trunk!
I love the braiding (don't pick on yourself!) and the tufty top on the party hat. Awesome cheery card, Jocelyn!
Urgh, and I forgot to say, poor little man! It is so hard having to go through those tests. Connor just had the skin prick test done in the spring, and it was miserable. Lollipops helped but not THAT much.
ReplyDeleteThis card MUST get published, it's soooo cute!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletePS did you ever get my emails with my address? For some reason my work email wasn't getting to you?

ReplyDeleteHope the little guy feels better soon...good thing that children almost always outgrow their food allergies...my friend's daughter developed an allergy to milk and was so sad that she couldn't eat chocolate...but a year later, that allergy just disappeared. Weird but in a good way!
This is too adorable! I love the little flags he is carrying, and that fabulous little hat. :)
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear your little man had to endure 2 pokes! :(
