Hi everyone! It's been a while. :)
I've been in a bit of a funk lately, and I haven't made anything in 10 days (gasp!). I've been going through a bunch of crafty changes, too. A few weeks ago, the Two Peas Digital Creative Team was disbanded. The closing of the digital side was a bit of a shock and disappointing. It was wonderful working alongside such talented ladies who taught me so many new digital techniques. :)
With the end of Two Peas, I was design team-less for the first time in almost two years. After having two weekly DTs for months, it felt weird....a little lost. I did some crafty shopping. I looked at the mess on my craft table. I separated my cranberry-colored buttons from my cherry red buttons.
And then I got a little e-mail:
YEAH!!! I'm super happy to share that I'm joining the CAS-ual Fridays DT!! You can read the announcement on the blog HERE. The talent on the team is incredible--I am so honored to be working with them! I'll be joining the rest of the team for next week's challenge. :)
I made a card a few months back--a reject from the last Paper Crafts Card Creations call. I felt it was fitting for my news:
I started with one of Katie Pertiet's Blendable Photo Cards. Instead of layering it over a photo (like it was meant to do), I simply resized it to use as my main image. I love that abstract sky! Over the image, I stamped a digital sentiment from Rhonna Designs.
I finished the card by layering a small strip of purple cardstock on the edge and pinning it to the cork. As an FYI, to hold the pin in place, I cut it down and held it in place in the inside of the card with a piece of washi tape. I wouldn't want someone to get stabbed while reading an encouragement card. ;)
Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back next week for the CAS-ual Fridays challenge.
