It's been way too long since I've linked up with Unity's Friends With Flair, and I really wanted to make a card this week using some of my newer Unity stamps. When I first saw the "Live What You Love" set, I instantly loved the little birdie, and I used her on today's card:
I started by shading the background with Distress Inks. Then I stamped the birdie, and colored her and the heart with my old Faber-Castell colored pencils (they're from the 1960s, and I swear they are more vivid than my newer ones...they're probably toxic). Here's a close-up:
I finished the card off with some washi tape from Chickydoddle and fussy cutting another heart from the stamp.
Have a great weekend!
This is a great card. Love the Washi tape. I really need to get myself some
ReplyDeletethis is fab! Love the washi tape and I think I need that stamp.
ReplyDeleteFantastic card!
ReplyDeleteHi Jocelyn! LOVE this card - the bird looks amazing and love the gorgeous papers you used. Great card!!
ReplyDeleteThose Fabers...probably aren't toxic...well, except maybe some of the reds...oh, and maybe some of the blues....hmmmm....and maybe some of the yellows. And definitely the black.
ReplyDeleteI take it back! Maybe they are(LOL)
BUT...really...they probably contain less wax. So you probably have more pigment, less wax.
But anyway, Dig the birdie too. And the snow you have is probably comin' my way...we're supposed to get some but it sure is pretty outsdie right now...just cold.
Such a pretty card! I love how you used the Washi tape :)
ReplyDeleteCute card. Love the tape.
