The colors for this week are CHERRY, MINT JULEP, and JADE:
I have to admit, it took me three cards to come up with one I was happy with. You know it's a bad card when your husband looks at it and his lip curls. ;) I switched to a different approach and came up with this card:
I started off with a stamp...yep, a digital stamp! I converted the stamp from Rhonna Designs into a cut file for my Cameo. Then, I cut a negative die-cut out of the white cardstock and layered jade-colored cardstock behind the die cut sentiment.
For the heart, I die cut just the heart with the embedded sentiment and then layered the mint julep cardstock. I popped up the heart. Here's an angled view to see the dimension on the heart:
I considered adding the centers of the letters back onto the card, but I kind of like the outlined letters. There was a period to the right of the heart, and I covered it with a little bling...there's nothing a little bling can't fix. :)
