Today I'm participating in the Pretty Pink Posh Watercolor Blog Hop. Yeah! Paulina's hops are awesome--great themes, lots of gorgeous cards, tons of prizes. :) The theme this time is watercoloring. Easy, right? The hop will be officially starting tomorrow (Friday) morning at 6am PST.
To kick things off, I'm sharing a watercolored card:
I started by die-cutting the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Duo Die 2 frame out of smooth bristol. Love that die! It's great for so many projects. Next, I die-cut the Flowers and Leaves using my Cameo. The black die-cut is a little atypical me, but I wanted something bold and, well, different. :)
I lightly traced the outline of the die-cut on the Stitched Duo Die frame so I knew which colors to use. For the watercoloring, I used several spray mists and intentionally went way over my sketched borders for an artsy look.
The sentiment is from the Sending and Wishing set from SSS. I also added a few of the new Pretty Pink Posh iridescent sequins (Strawberry Burst and Sunshine Glow).
For the background, I embossed the cardstock using the stitched circles from the Stitched Duo Die 2. Here's a close-up:
Here's the scoop:
- Leave a comment here and along the hop for chances to win prizes. You can find the links at the Pretty Pink Posh blog.
- The hop starts Friday (6/5) at 6 am PST. You can link up your watercolored cards on the Pretty Pink Posh blog until June 8th at 11:55 pm PST.
- If we can get 100 entries, Paulina will donate a $20 gift certificate to Ellen Hutson or Simon Says Stamp. For every 100 entries (up to 500) there will be an extra $20 gift certificate.
- When you link up, you'll be entered to win prizes from the fantastic sponsors!
That's it from me. I hope you'll join in the blog hop! Have a great day!
