Market Street Stamps, Part II

Hi everyone! I'm a guest blogger with Market Street Stamps, and today I'm sharing my second set of projects on their blog today. You can check it out HERE. :)

For today’s projects, I used the Shine On set by Stephanie Washburn. This set rocks! It has several Christmas images, but there are also sentiments that fit for every day projects.

I thought it would be fun to make a set of cards, and I ended up making a card to give with the set. I started off making this CAS card:

I stamped the sunburst image with Versamark on Rustic White cardstock and heat embossed it with Enchanted Gold. These stamps stamp very cleanly (love that!), and I didn’t have any issues with uneven lines. I finished off the card by stamping a sentiment from the Shine On set.

Here’s a close-up to see the embossing:

Next, I made the card set. I started off by misting white cardstock with several glittery mists to create a background. Here's what each looked like:

The misting was pretty haphazard since most of it would be covered up....I was primarily trying to get a mottled background. Then, I used the same design and heat embossed the sunburst image in a sparkly orange color:

I liked how the misting in the background complemented the sun. It was worth the stained fingers to have a custom background. ;)

I made three identical cards, and then I decided to make one card slightly different. (What can I say? I’m fickle.) For the fourth card in the set, I created an ombre:

I’m entering this card into the Moxie Fab World Ombre Challenge. While I typically think of ombre within one image, in this card it's broken up between the red sentiment and then the orange and gold sunburst rays. Here's a close-up:

I want to give a big thanks to Angelica and Jorge at Market Street Stamps for having me. It’s been awesome!

Have a great day!
