Chocolate Easter Bunnies

Hi everyone! I hope you're having a great week. I was in Mobile last week for work, and I still feel like I'm catching up. ;) I did want to share my Glitz project that was on their blog last week.

I'm in Easter mode now, and I made three treat hybrid treat boxes:

The Glitz Color Me Happy collection has mostly rainbows, but there are some pastels in the collection, too. I used the CMH Element Pack 2 for the yellow paper base and die-cut it with a Sizzix Milk Carton die. I was inspired to tie the cord like THIS pin.

For the tags, I made all three all three almost the same. I layered some die-cut papers and cut the bunnies out on my Cameo. The woodgrain paper is from the Color Me Happy Paper Pack. I love how it looks like chocolate. :)

Here's the blue one:

I used the Color Me Happy Paper Pack for the blue paper and lightened it just a pinch. [Don't you love the technical terms? Ha!]

Here's the pink one:

For the pink carton, I created my own patterned paper by stamping the paper with the woodgrain digital brush in the Element Pack 2. I had to stamp the brush about 5 times to make it large enough, but the woodgrain is pretty forgiving for lining it up.

Glitz Finnley Blog Hop

Hi everyone! If you're in the U.S., happy Thanksgiving!! I hope you're enjoying a good meal and some time with family and friends.

To celebrate Thanksgiving, Glitz Design is having a blog hop! Both the traditional and digital teams are sharing projects with the Finnley collection.

With the holidays right around the corner, I made a gift box and tag with a present inside. First up is the box and tag:

I started by printing the gradient charcoal grey paper from the Finnley Paper Pack. Using a scoring board, I folded the paper to create a box lid and bottom that is A2 card-size.

For the tag, I resized and printed one of the layering papers in the Finnley Element Pack #2. I die-cut the tag and tag topper, and I printed and fussy cut the floral grouping. I cropped the letters from the Element Pack #1 to create the sentiment.

I made the pom pom using my new pom pom maker. My daughter and I had fun making several of them for decorating presents. :)

So what's inside? I made two notepads for my mother-in-law:

The pretty flowers come from a journaling card in the Element Pack #1, and I paired them with my own sentiment. I layered four different papers as backgrounds. 

I trimmed and then gummed the top edge of the papers. Here's a close-up of the inside:

Newton's Nook Designs--S'More Wishes

Hi everyone! Today is the last of the new releases of Newton's Nook Designs. The stamps go on sale at midnight! Woo hoo!

I think the Campfire Tails set may be my favorite of the new releases. It's a hoot! I made a pillow box and a tag with the stamps:

I used five different stamps from the set. First, I stamped the lantern onto the pillow box in WPlus9's white ink (love it--thank you for the ink suggestion, Amy!):

I thought it could use something else, so I added a few of the fireflies. I added some Cosmo Cricket patterned paper and assembled the box.

Next, I moved onto the tag. I stamped the sentiment, fire, and s'more from the Campfire Tails set, and then colored the images with my Inktense pencils (I can't say enough good things about these pencils!). Here's a close-up of the tag:
